This is a sauce I wanted to love. It’s healthy, all-natural, organic, and pretty cheap – about $3.29 for 12 oz. at our local grocery store. It has an incredibly rich aroma that intoxicates you as you prepare to taste what could possibly be the world’s most incredible BBQ sauce, but then… when you bite into it… like some flavored seltzer water products, the smell is only a tease, and your taste-buds are left wanting more. This is an example of an incredibly healthy product that leans a bit too far in the healthy direction and forgets to make sure the sauce remains flavorful and rich.
Smell/Aroma
Amazing smell – maple, bacon, bbq sauce flavor. If only it tasted like that. Like a breakfast buffet meeting a BBQ pit.
Taste
Starts strong and then fades away quickly like Lindsay Lohan.
Consistency
Extremely thick. If the bottle were standing upright and you flipped it over completely, it would take about 30 seconds before the majority of the sauce was moved to the other side of the bottle. Glop!

Sauce Score: 3
The sauce is marketed beautifully but the product’s flavor needs to catch up to the other promising health benefits (or lack of negative ingredients).
