This sauce has an interesting, mustard/tomato compound flavor that is somewhat concealed by the aggressive spoon wielding boar on the label. The sauce is a blend of a tomato-based and mustard based BBQ sauce, so you’re getting a hybrid sauce here, one that’s got enough flavor to not need any spicy ingredients to mix it […]
Country Chef Mustard BBQ Sauce (5/5)
This is sauce was nice and delicate, a smooth flavor when tried alone or when cooked. I tried it on ham, pork, and as a dipping sauce for grilled chicken and found it all to be very much enhanced with this delicately flavored mustard sauce. It’s got very much the same base as the other […]
BBQ Stu’s Gold Barbeque Sauce (4/5)

The natural ingredients and gluten-free qualities are admirable… and of course the flavor is great but lacks the complexity of some of the other sauces in this category (ie Salt […]
King James BBQ Sauce (4/5)
Final assessment: the King James is a better dipping sauce than marinade or glaze, but that’s all right with me. 4 stars for taste, 4 stars for texture. And unlike the other self appointed “King,” I look forward to seeing this James again.
Salt Lick Original Recipe Bar-B-Que Sauce (5/5)
Not too long ago, my sister Julie and her husband Kevin brought me back a great sauce from a recent trip to Austin. They lived there for awhile and told me some of the cool things to do and have always had a sense of the local scene where ever they happened to live – […]

This well-known Southern Carolina style, Sticky Fingers Carolina Classic Barbecue Sauce fit the bill. There’s some positives and negatives here, so this will be my first middle-of-the-road rating (3/5). My wife has a […]
