Uncle Kenny’s Barbeque Sauce is a tasty sauce within a sauce. Or a sauce made from another sauce. Hmm. What I’m trying to say is that it’s bottle of someone’s sauce with a few ingredients added. Which I’m OK with in principle – you pretty much take the work out of recipe and sauce development and focus on the marketing and sales. Being in marketing, I have no issue with that! But when the ingredients are just bad and you may have selected the base barbecue sauce within your BBQ sauce based on price…. well that kinda stinks. Without the ding on ingredients it would have been a 4 easily. The flavor is salty, sweet, and smoky with just the right amount of garlic and onion flavor. Unfortunately it’s also loaded up with a bunch of artificial colors, preservatives and stuff.

The color is a rusty brown. The consistency is a little thin and the sauce does have a natural spice-filled appearance.
It’s tasty – if you don’t care about ingredients!
