La Pan’s Foundation is a wonderfully complex BBQ sauce with a lot of flavor. It’s got a combination of great ingredients, molasses-dark flavor, and soy/Worcestershire added for that extra savory umami dimension. Nice. A smooth, dark, molasses-based sauce with the same base as Rufus Teague’s Touch of Heat without as much A1-style tang making it a bit less complex – but still a very solid contender in the category. It’s still enough to be given my highest rating.
Like their other sauce, Rufus Teague’s Touch O’ Heat has some excellent attributes – Gluten Free, HFCS Free, no strange ingredients, has a cool flask shaped bottle, and has a cool character and backstory in Rufus.
